This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. 

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Program Descriptions

Overview
We have exciting news this year! U.S.S.A. has introduced a U8 program. This program is for all accomplished  6 & 7 year old racers! All programs for racing must be purchased online. The following is a listing of all programs and practice times. There is a parent meeting on October 10, 2019 for the Full Race Program and Development Team at 7:30pm in the Sunrise Lodge at Mount Peter.  There will be a Dynamite Parent Meeting in January on the first day of the program. The pricing below are preseason rates and will expire on November 3, 2019 so don't delay in signing up! This year there is an optional  payment plan for the programs - the first 50% payment is due 10/20/19 and the balance is due 12/1/19.  Please note that none of the programs listed below include a Mount Peter Season Pass which is required to participate in any race program. Dynamites
Level 1: "The Dynamites" This program is geared for children ages 6-10 that are Intermediate skiers. The participants will learn new skiing skills that will last them a life time and learn the first instructional phases of ski racing. This program meets on Saturday's or Sunday's (must choose one only) from 8:30am to 11:30am starting January 4 or 5, 2020 through March 7, 2020 (USSA Race Schedule Permitting).  Prerequisites for this program: Athletes MUST be able to ride the chair lift alone, ski intermediate terrain confidently and be able to get up by themselves with no assistance if they have fallen. Required and not included: Helmets and a Mount Peter Season Pass. A Mount Peter Race Club Membership is required for a $30 fee per child and is included in the online price. Limited number of spaces available! Early pricing $425 plus $30 Mount Peter Race Club fee - total $455 expires 11/3/19. All dates are weather permitting. Please note: The end of season FUN RACE is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020 for ALL Dynamite skiers regardless of which day they train, please plan accordingly. This program will not be held on Martin Luther King Weekend or President's Weekend (Jan 18/19 and Feb 15/16).

 

Development
Level 2: "The Dev Team". This program is the 2nd stepping stone to the race program for our up and coming ski racing athletes . This is geared for Accomplished Intermediate/Expert skiers that want to learn more about ski racing, enhance their skills and participate in races at other mountains within the Youth Ski League (YSL). This program is for ages 7-11. This program meets on Saturday's and Sunday's from 8am to 1pm starting January 4, 2020 through March 7, 2020. Prerequisites for this Program: Athletes need to be able to ski expert terrain confidently and ride the chairlift alone. Required and not included:  Helmets and Mount Peter Season Pass. A Mount Peter Race Club Membership is required for a $30 fee per child and is included in the online price. Early pricing: $550 plus $30 Mount Peter Race Club fee - total $580 expires 11/3/19. All dates are weather permitting.

 

High School Crossover 
Level 4: "High School Crossover" - We are once again excited to offer a program for High School Ski Racers. This program is designed for those High School Ski Racers who want more training opportunity and enhance their ski racing. They will train directly with Mount Peter’s U16-U21 USSA racers and coaches. The program meets on Saturday's and Sunday's from 7:30am to 1:30pm starting January 4, 2020 through March 7, 2020. Required and not included: Mount Peter Season Pass, FIS approved Helmet and  body armor. A $30  Mount Peter Race Club Fee is included in the pricing online.  Early pricing: $700 plus $30 Mount Peter Race Club fee - total $730 expires 11/3/19. All dates are weather permitting. 


Please Note: This is a training program only. If athletes want coaching/representation at USSA events, there will be an additional charge for the season or $100 per event. 

 

U.S.S.A Full Race Program
Level 5: This program is for athletes  ages 6 to adult  ( U8-U21) who want expert coaching and training in the sport of ski racing and to compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned events. All participants MUST be able to ride the chairlift alone and ski expert terrain confidently to participate. Required and Not Included - Mount Peter Season Pass, FIS approved Helmet and body armor, USSA/NJSRA and Mount Peter Race Club Membership.


U8 - ages 6 & 7 (YOB 2012 & 2013)
U10  - ages 8 & 9 (YOB 2010 & 2011) 
U12  - ages 10 & 11 (YOB 2008 & 2009)


U8/U10/U12 train on Saturday's and Sunday's from 7:30am to 1:30pm starting December 14, 2019 through March 7, 2020 and Wednesday weeknight gate training  from 6:15pm-8:15pm.  Early pricing $850 plus $30 Mount Peter Race Club membership - Total $880 expires 11/3/19.  All dates are weather permitting.


U14 - ages 12 & 13 (YOB 2006 & 2007)
U16 - ages 14 & 15 (YOB 2004 & 2005) 
U19  - ages 16, 17 & 18 (YOB 2001, 2002 & 2003)
U 21 - ages 19 & 20 (YOB  1999 & 2000)


U14/U116/U19/U21 train on Saturday's and Sunday's from 7:30am to 1:30pm starting December 14, 2019 through March 7, 2020 and Tuesday and Thursday weeknights gate training  from 6:15pm-8:15pm.  Early pricing $1070 plus $30 Mount Peter Race Club membership - Total $1100 expires 11/3/19.  All dates are weather permitting.

IMPORTANT PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Equipment

FIS Approved Helmets & proper equipment are required for all Mount Peter Alpine Race Center Programs.

Chair Lift

Participant may ride lift alone throughout the program and is a requirement to be able to ride lift alone to be in program.

Other Costs

Racing program fees are for training and coaching only. Fees do not include Mount Peter season pass, race entry fees, US Ski and Snowboard Association fees, postseason $100 Mount Peter Race Club coach fee, transportation or damages incurred by participants. It does include the $30 Mount Pete Race Club Membership fee.

Ski Racer Level Changes

Any racer that is “moved up” by the race department will be charged the next rate increase.

Responsibilities as Participants

Mount Peter does not take responsibility for any person(s). This includes, but is not limited to, using the chairlift and mountain safely. Please make sure participant is aware of all chairlift and mountain safety rules and guidelines which may be viewed on www.mountpeter.com.

Mount Peter Race Club Membership

All Mount Peter Race Program participants must be a member of the Mount Peter Ski Race Club and a $30 fee is included in all online program costs (see Mount Peter Race Club page for more information on the benefits you gain through being a part of the Club). All families that have a U8-U21 will be required to post a $225 volunteer bond which will be cashed at the end of the season if you do not fulfill a 5.0 point volunteer requirement. Development Team families will be required to post a $75 volunteer bond which will be cashed at the end of the season if you do not fulfill a 2.0 point volunteer requirement. If you have both levels, it is $225 only and 5pts.

Ski Racer Parent Meeting 

There is a racing parent meeting at 7:30pm on October 10, 2019 at Mount Peter. All race program parents are strongly encouraged to attend (does not include Dynamite program).

Waivers 

If you, as the parent or legal guardian of the athlete and/or you the athlete, do not accept fully the conditions on all waivers within this registration and prove by signing electronically and in paper format, you may not compete or participate in any event/training/program and your race pass will not be processed. No refunds. Not responsible for typographical errors or omissions.
